Teaming up with Bear Grylls and #tide, Luminox creates its first sustainable timepiece where the case, bezel and strap are made of #tide ocean material, a new upcycled plastic by Swiss company Tide Ocean SA. The eco-friendly material provides equal durability and water resistance as CARBONOX. This dive watch is limited to 1,500 pieces features a 45 mm #tide ocean material case with a matte blue dial with waves motif matched with white and orange luminescent hands, white Arabic numerals and Bear Grylls logo at the 10 o'clock as hour markers. Tritium-based luminescent tubes called LLT's illuminate the watch thru its hands, around the chapter ring and inside the bezel pip. This is complemented by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a uni-directional #tide ocean material bezel with a diving zone marker, a date window at the 3 o'clock position and a screw down crown. Touches of white, orange and red contrasts are evident via the dial and bezel markings, hands, Luminox shield, Never Give Up slogan, crown and the Bear Grylls logo at the 10 o'clock position. A blue #tide ocean material textile strap secured by a stainless steel signed buckle completes the tough and sporty look. This watch has a screw down caseback inscribed with Bear Gryll's, Luminox's and #tide's logos, the limited edition number and 'Every Second Counts' and 'Never Give Up' mottos wherein underneath lies the Ronda caliber 515 HH 6, a Swiss quartz movement and is water-resistant up to 200 meters/660 feet.
